Award Regulations
Participation in the Prize is free of charge. Texts must be written in the Italian language. By applying for the Prize, the author of the text accepts the irrevocable judgment of the Technical Committee, the Committee of Selectors and the Jury of Readers. In addition to implicit acceptance of these regulations, applying for the Prize implies participation in the events organized by the Prize and in the closing ceremony.
Participation requirements
All works, whether non-fiction or literature, in print or electronic media, made public between January 1 and January 31, 2024, that have the theme of sustainability at their core, are eligible to apply for the Green Book Award 2024. At the time of submission, publishers or authors wishing to participate in the competition must send, using the appropriate form (at the end of the announcement), the pdf version of the volume and send 5 hard copies of the work with delivery by Feb. 6, 2025 (the date of delivery at the headquarters of the organizing secretariat will be the date of delivery). Copies of the works must be sent free of charge and will not be returned. The nominated works will be reviewed by the Technical Committee, which will select 10 works by February 20, 2025 and submit them to the Selectors’ Committee to choose the five finalists. Publishers or authors who make the shortlist of 10 works will be required to send an additional 20 copies of the finalist volumes, free of charge, to the Prize Management, who will deliver them to each member of the Committee of Selectors, the Prize Promoters, or use them for public relations activities. The Award Management will be responsible for getting the five finalist volumes, in digital format, to the 200 anonymous members of the Jury of Readers, chosen from among entrepreneurs, managers, undergraduate and graduate students identified by the Management.
Mode of selection
Each member of the Selectors’ Committee may report by February 1, 2025 to the Award Management from a minimum of three to a maximum of five works that he or she deems worthy of participating in the Award. By l February 20, 2025 , the Technical Committee will verify the eligibility of all works nominated for the Prize and compile a shortlist of 10 works. The works will then be sent by the Award Management to the Selectors’ Committee. At the time of voting, each member of the Selectors’ Committee, including the Chairperson, will declare by open vote the 5 works, from among the 10 admitted works, that he or she deems worthy of making the shortlist of finalists. The five works that collect the highest number of votes from the Selectors’ Committee will be the finalists. In the event of a tie between two or more works for fifth place, a new round of voting will take place among only the titles competing for fifth place; the work with the highest number of votes will enter the finalist five. The selection of the finalist five will take place by February 28, 2025.
